Windows 10: 3 hour win update and now im confused

Hi,
Windows did a long update in the last week and since then I'm totally lost as to what is happening.

After the update when I logged in Edge opened, I had a little time in Edge then shut it down and open my default browser Chrome.

now there seems to be two version of chrome opening up??
I was asked to log into chrome and that was unusual

a logo appears on my tray that is like a blue doughnut and says something about Tabs

Just now I was looking for a something in history and noticed a day was missing I looked down and the blue looking doughnut was on my tray, I closed it down and clicked chrome to open
Once in chrome, I went to history but it remains blank... Hmm i just went back to the history tab and yes its here now (about 10 mins had passed)


What is going on???

Query about the incomplete download of Windows 10

Original title: WINDOWS 10

whats happend to my windows 10, i downloaded it to surface 3, then it said it looking for updates then nothing? im confused do i still have to wait for the rest or download again for another hour and a half please someone enlighten me. thanks

 

Reseting my laptop

I have been trying to do a reset on my laptop( acer)..ive been doing it for going on 3 hours now..it seems like its been stuck in the same place for atleast 2 hours...its at 66% ,jumps to86 and then restarts...do i remain waiting or is something wrong
and im wasting my time?. I asked my cousin who took computers in college and she said it may be a bad hard drive...but also said if theres a problem like that you usually get a message...so im confused what to do

 

Seems the other browser opening is Chromium

I have no recall of ever downloading nor installing it.

Im running AdwCleaner

Lets check for malware infections on your computer please follow below instructions. Do not scan your computer more than one antivirus program at time.


Malwarebytes' scanner
If this program is already installed: Skip the installation and run only the scan!
Download and install: Please download Malwarebytes' scanner to your desktop.

• Double-click mb3-setup-consumer-3.x.x.xxxx and follow the prompts to install the program.
• Click Finish.
• On the Dashboard, click the 'Check for Updates' button.
• After the update completes, click the 'Scan Now' button.
• A Threat Scan will begin. Please allow it to progress through the scanning process.
• When the scan is complete, if there have been detections, click Quarantines Selected button to allow the program to clean what was detected.
• In most cases, a restart will be required.
• Wait for the prompt to restart the computer to appear, then click on Yes.

How to get logs: (Export log to save as txt)

• After the restart once you are back at your desktop, open Malwarebytes once more.
• Click on the Reports tab > Scan Report. (if you have done more than one scan in the past, select the most recent that shows the Date and time of the scan just performed. Press View Report button.
• Click 'Export'.
• Click 'Text file (*.txt)'
• In the Save File dialog box which appears, click on Desktop.
• In the File name: box type a name for your scan log.
• A message box named 'File Saved' should appear stating "Your file has been successfully exported".
• Click Ok
• Find the log on your Desktop and Attach that saved log to your next reply.

Download the right Windows bit version (32-bit or 64-bit) of RogueKiller

• Quit all running programs
• Once done, move the executable file to your Desktop, right-click on it and select
  
  Run as Administrator (for Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 users)
• If the program is blocked, do not hesitate to try several times. If it really does not work (it could happen), rename it to winlogon.exe

I would like you to check the system integrity of your Windows OS installation.

• Please type cmd.exe into Start Menu search box.
