Windows 10: 3 Months Later - Still Hating it: Windows 11 - Need to Ungroup the Icons on my Taskbar /...

Did you change your mind on putting back::Ungrouping/Do Not Combine icons on the task barMoving the taskbar somewhere other than the bottom of the screenMaking the icons smaller.I thought it might get better over time, but the aggravation of looking through the grouped icons to find the right screen, totally breaks momentum and so unproductive - one of these days this laptop will get airborne!Set the icons free - ungroup them!

Ungroup Icons in Taskbar

Windows 11 appears to have eliminated the ability to ungroup icons in the taskbar. After years of getting users used to having this ability, the fact that someone at Microsoft felt it wasn't needed is a clear miss for Windows 11.

I've tried installing Open-Shell and ExplorerPatcher, but neither return the ability to view ungrouped taskbar items.

Why is this important? Imagine you are working across 4 documents and need to quickly move between versions which you may have opened as 1, 2, 3, 4 windows. You can't do this accurately in the Windows 11 scenario.

Is there any means to ungroup icons in the taskbar/

God, I miss Windows 7.

Ungroup icons on windows 11 taskbar is very important for professional users having lots of similar active icons (folders, app windows, and so on). Please, reactivate the "ungroup always" option that was present in Windows 10.
