I don't know what it did fix. I do know it didn't fix the explorer.exe error on shutdown or restart.

Doesn't appear to have 'fixed' anything here either.

My problem described above turned out to be Flash Player related. Just after installing the MS updates yesterday, I was notified of a Flash Player update available and I downloaded and installed it but did not do a restart after. After posting above last night about the Insider Hub problem , I later noticed Windows Update wasn't working either.

This morning, I remembered that after the Flash Player update, I had a message that a restart MAY be required to properly finish the update. I did the restart this morning and both Insider Hub and Windows Update are working as they should.

One of the updates won't install upon restart and keeps saying it will restore back to the original or something like that. What we need is a new build.

Exporer read failure on shutdown/restart still "bugging" me.
    All else seems OK

Seems like my shutdown read-error message when using the start-menu power button has been fixed--three reboots and I haven't seen it return.

Apparently, the notice "needs a restart to finish installing" is bugged in some of today's updates...3 security updates and fix for Windows 10 PC build 10130 June 11th ;) If you select "uninstall updates" it shows all of them as properly installed (of course, don't actually uninstall anything there...3 security updates and fix for Windows 10 PC build 10130 June 11th ;))

I had same results. See the notice 'needs a restart to finish' after having restarted. Issues I have had since my 'clean install' which include double dialog boxes, Cortana not working, People app not working, Email working intermittently, to name a few CONTINUE to plague me.

The start menu not opening isn't fixed. I turned off (store and display recently opened programs in start". Restarted the computer and the start menu wouldn't open. I had to turn the option back on to get the start menu to open.

Same old problem with the updates. Restart, restart, restart and nothing goes away. I'm disliking this (clean install 10130), more and more.

Sure hope they get it right on the next build. *Mad

  12. I'm hoping the permissions bug is now fixed as well as the ie4uinit.exe and explorer.exe memory problem on shutdown.
