Windows 10: 30 day hold on account

Hello.BitLocker randomly popped up during a routine restart. Now my drive is locked. I've read that the "key" might be in my Microsoft account.Logged in from different machine and it didn't recognize other computer. Says it has to send a text.Well when setting up the Microsoft account a long time ago I put in our land line for the phone number. Nowhere did it state that you have to use a phone that can get texts.Can't send text to land line so it asked if I wanted to input a new phone number.I put in a cell number.Now it says that I can access everything except security info......for 30 days..

Why is this system so complicated and so difficult to use. The system suggested I check my account details when logging into my Outlook account and so, like an idiot i did. Now, it has stopped me checking any of my account details for 30 days - WHY? After
going round in circles trying to find the right suggested answers to my question (I'd like to actually talk to someone as oppose to converse with an idiotic server somewhere in lack-of-commonsenseland) I finally found an option to cancel the suggested secondary
email address but, to do this, it has to send an email to my old secondary email address i.e. one I do not have access to. Bloody useless and a waste of my time as the whole point is.......I DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO MY SECONDARY EMAIL ADDRESS. I suppose I'll
now have to wait 30 days to see if it locks me out for another 30 days and so on and so on. Rant over, it will soon be Christmas. Any way around this?

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Hotmail account locked - I have to wait 30 days to get the reset link

Hello All,

I have been using my hotmail account since 22 years. I had setup 2 step verification to my account. I recently forgot my password and while trying to reset my password, the system prompted me to enter last 4 digits of my call number. I received a text message
with a pin to enter, I have entered the pin and a window popped up asking me to specify the second step account verification without listing the second verification in the popped up window. I am curious that when I setup the 2 step verification
I am SURE that I did add one of my other email id as the second step verification. So, I used the last option to reach out to MS account security team to send me a password reset link to one of my other email id. I am stuck now for 30 days now.

I requested MS account security to reset my password on 6/2/20.

Can someone please answer whether I have to wait until 7/2 to get the reset password link to my other email id to will I get it earlier than 30 days?

And, how does the accountprotection.microsoft.com team communicate back to me?
