  1. 30 second delay when printing documents to print server

We have an issue that seems to have started over the last month or so. Client machines are running W10 21H1, print server is running Windows Server 2016 Datacenter 1607.*Any* print jobs sent to *any* printer tested with Canons, Konicas and HPs have around a 30 second delay before they print. The delay looks to be on the client machine, as once the process resumes, the document immediately appears in the print queue on the server, and is printed. This happens in *all* applications. Even the following powershell has the delay:"Hello, World" Out-Printer -Name "\\<pr

Print server instantly "prints" documents after they spooling but nothing actually prints.

We have a print server running on a Hyper-V Generation 2 Virtual Windows Server 2016 1607 hosted on a Windows Server 2016 1607. Up until a couple of days ago, things were printing fine,
now all of a sudden we are unable to print anything. Documents will briefly spool and then disappear from the queue. If a printer is set to keep printed documents in the queue they will show as printed immediately after they finish spooling no matter how many
    pages are supposedly printed.

Here's the troubleshooting I've tried so far:

    • Ensured Print Server has the latest Windows Update
    • Uninstalled the most recent non-security updates since problems started (and shortly before)
    • Restarted Server
    • Restarted Print Spooler service, both using the restart option and simply stopping and starting it
    • Ensured printers print on their own; both configuration pages and USB direct connect
    • Tried printing from Multiple computers, including the print server itself
    • Shut down print spooler and cleared everything out of System32\spool\PRINTERS
    • For one of our multi-purpose printers I:
      • Created a new printer and port to it's IP address
      • Tried literally ever latest Windows 10 Driver available on the manufacturer's site.
      • Tried every Print Processor
      • Unchecked "Render print jobs on client computers"
      • Unchecked "SNMP Status Enabled" in the port configuration
      • Set it to print only after all pages are spooled
      • Unchecked "Print spooled documents first"
      • Checked "Hold mismatched documents"
      • Set a new IP Address
The only major change since this problem arose was a change to the permissions, but as far as I can tell the permissions are set up correctly and this doesn't sound like a permissions
issue because there's no permissions errors and documents are spooling correctly.

Any new suggestions are welcome because I've run out of ideas and at this point we are considering just rebuilding the thing on physical
hardware to see if Hyper-V is causing the issue.

    0 documents file print

    Thanks Berton,
I predifine my printer as default.
Then I order to print and what hapens is that the document enter into waiting list file to print in my device.
Next, past few seconds disapears and the waiting list turns nothing to print.
I catch the properties of the document to print before it disapear. But I get no clue of about.

    Thanks

  4. 30 second delay when printing documents to print server

Error - Printing on Network printer

We have 4 printers on our Windows print server. The server was migrated from win2k3 to 2k8 on friday. 3/4 printers are working great, the other is having issues. When trying to print a test page to it, it gets a job status of Error - Printing.

When sending a small word document to it, it sends it to the printer, the queue is empty but nothing prints. If I goto the printer itself, it doesnt show any errors and I can print things such as information sheets and diagnostic files just fine.

All four printers are the same model, all 4 have a static IP. I can ping the printer successfully. I've tried printing from both an XP machine and the print server itself. I tried removing and adding the printer on the print server. And lastly, uunplugged the printer for 30 seconds, plugged it back in.

    Any ideas?
