Windows 10: 32-bit progs. SEEM to be utilizing less RAM in 64-bit Win10 than they could in XP.

Dear Anyone.OK, sorry this is vague, I'm nowhere near good enough at Windows to know what I'm talking about! It's just a suspicion....I've got a legit. Windows 10. It's 64-bit. I've also got an XP music writing software that's 32-bit. Now I've used that thing for years in XP and I know what it's capable of holding at one time, VST-wise. I've just gotten to know what I could safely load it up with. In Windows 10 it just doesn't seem to be holding anywhere near as much before warning me it's 'memory full' that's just because it's 32-bit, I've got 12 gig RAM but of course it can't access al

compatibility with XP 32 bit and 64 bit

Can I transfer the AV FILES FROM WINDOWS XP 32 BIT and 64 bit OS of my desktops?Are there any addons required to be installed for the same.

Please suggest.

 

Netbook, 64-bit or 32-bit?

The only real test would be trying 32 bit Windows 10 and seeing if it ends up being faster in practice [a test that would take quite a bit of your limited time].

I get the impression that you are aware that
2GB RAM are required for the 64 bit version whereas a minimum of 1GB is required for the 32 bit version. So your choice is between

• getting the benefit of 64 bit processing but limited by the invalid RAM size, or
  
• foregoing the 64 bit processing benefit in order to fulfil the minimum RAM requirement.

Win10 32 bit migration to 64 bit

I have an HP 6200 Pro running perfectly with a fully updated and activated license for Win10 Pro 32 bit. I am contemplating a migration to 64 bit Win10 Pro and have downloaded a 64 bit ISO file on a USB drive which is bootable right now. A 9/15/2015
Post on "Groovypost.com" says that on a UEFI based PC (as mine is), the USB drive must be made bootable with a utility such as "Rufus" making sure to format it in FAT32 and using the GPT Partitioning scheme. If the USB drive is already bootable, why would
this be suggested?

Also, MS' directions says that a product key will NOT be required if upgrading (in my case migrating) from an activated copy of Win10. Is this correct and if so, where does the new SW pick up the old activation digital entitlement - from the in place
activated copy of Win10 32 bit?

The computer configuration is known to Microsoft, and when 64-bit is installed, it takes note and activates automatically. All you have to do is skip the part where you are asked to enter a key code..
