RAM speed is different in CMD and Task manager, what to do?

    Hi Vaibhav,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Your RAM is running at 2667Mhz, it may be capable of 3200Mhz, but it will only run at the maximum RAM speed supported by your processor and motherboard.

  3. Ram 3200mhz clock speed caused app crash

Ok so uppon more research, the official supported highest ram speed for an R 7 1700x is 2667mhz... So it may just be a problem with my cpu's memory controller with my ram being at such high speeds.

Will respond if it keeps happening with 3000mhz or lower but for now I think it's just a matter of "My cpu doesn't support that ram speed"

    3200Mhz ram showing as 2667Mhz

    Internal power error

Hello bogtheman and welcome to TenForums *Smile

My analysis suggests that you have set up your system with memory which is set at too high a clock speed for your system.

Your RAM is operating at 3200MHz which is too fast for working reliably with your CPU.

    Attachment 297404

Please adjust the memory setting in the BIOS to run at a speed of 2667MHz. Overclocking is a very common cause of BSODs
