Windows 10: 3D builder - Crystals

Discus and support 3D builder - Crystals in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; When i split an object in 3d builder i get something which i can only describe as 'crystals'.     3D builder - Crystals


    When i split an object in 3d builder i get something which i can only describe as 'crystals'. From then on it is nearly impossible to repair the model. Any ideas why this should happen and how to stop it? This particular piece has been repairing for 8 hours
