Windows 10: 3D Builder? Im on a roll

Microsoft,While I've asked this question multiple times, I've never once received any reply. Will Microsoft commit to keeping 3D Builder from the recycle bin? I believe this is another case where Microsoft wanted to jump the market when it was just starting in an effort to be the first to market what was likely thought of as the latest technology super star. Everyone would have a 3D printer on their desks, companies would migrate too or spring up from scratch to dominate this new technology causing a seismic shift in the Additive Manufacturing. 3D Builder Two Yaws, no Roll!

We understand your concern as you are unable to find the controller for the Roll feature when you insert a cylinder but in all other object you are able to get it. We appreciate your effort in providing us the detailed information along with the screenshot.



We would like to know some information for better clarity.

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
  
• What is the 3D builder version currently installed.

We reproduced the issue and we were able to use the Roll controller in the app, please check the below screenshot. We would also suggest you to place the object vertically, instead of placing it horizontally and check if you get
the Roll control.



















Meanwhile, we would like you to reset the 3D builder app and check if you are still not able to get the Roll control.

1. Press Windows + I key to launch
   Windows settings.
   
2. Click on Apps and select
   Apps & feature from the left pane.
   
3. Scroll down and select 3D builder
   app on the right pane.
   
4. Click on Advanced option and then click on
   Reset.
   
5. Restart the PC and then launch the 3D builder app.

can i upgrade 3d builder

We understand the difficulties you are facing with the lag in 3D builder app. To have a clarity on this issue, we need some information.

• Was there a major change or an update on your system, prior to which you weren't facing this issue?
• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed?(Type winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the version of the 3D builder app installed?

However, we would suggest you to these methods and check the 3D Builder app performance.

Method 1: Steps to reset the 3D Builder App.

1. Press Windows +I key from the keyboard to open
   Settings.
2. Click on Apps, Select Apps & feature from the left pane.
3. Search for 3D Builder app in the list and click on it, then select
   Advanced options.
4. Then click on Reset and then restart the PC and check if the issue persist. If it persist then perform
   method 2.

Method 2: Steps to Uninstall and reinstall the 3D Builder App.

1. Press Windows + X key from the keyboard. Select
   Windows PowerShell (Admin).
2. Type: Get-AppxPackage *3dbuilder* | Remove-AppxPackage
   and click on Enter.
3. Type: Exit and click on Enter.
4. Restart the PC. Open
   Microsoft Store app and reinstall
   3D builder app.
5. Check if the issue persists.
