    3g/4g adapter with SIM capabilties


    If I were to get a pay as you go mobile sim card, is it possible to use it for internet data and make phone calls/text + mobile data from a windows 10 pc? I know laptops sometimes have a 3g/4g hotspot as an option. I could emulate (or may wind up preferring) a android OS within windows 10.

    3g internet connectivity using 4g sim

    Then you'll not get 4G speed on your phone. Also if your SIM is ONLY 4G, then it will not work at all.

    If the SIM supports 3G, then go to settings>network & wireless>mobile & sim>sim settings and set highest connection speed to 3G and switch on data connection to see if it works.

    3g internet connectivity using 4g sim

    Is your phone a 4G variant? If yes, you should be able to use 4G or else the speed will downgraded to 3G. Some SIM cards however, won't work with 3G connectivity though.
