That's an issue that only applies to the latest insider build.

This does not seem even remotely like Microsoft is trying to lock out third party software. In fact quite the opposite. It is the responsibility of the software supplier to make their software compatible with the OS. Writing devoice drivers is difficult and at the present time Kaspersky is having problems doing so. To make Kaspersky products compatible with Windows 10 Microsoft is providing them extra support. They have no responsibility to do this. Until the software is fully compatible with Windows 10 Microsoft does not recommend these products. This is the responsible thing to do.

Microsoft could not possibly provide even a small percentage of the software users require. No one knows this better than Microsoft. They prefer to concentrate on the OS itself and leave most software to third parties. They do provide some essentials that most people will require, such as AV protection. But the user can opt for third party software if they so choose. This is a good thing and is fully recognized by Microsoft.
