Windows 10: 4.7.2 Net framework install failure for windows ten

Discus and support 4.7.2 Net framework install failure for windows ten in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; i have attempted to install it but a quarter through it just says .NET framework has not been installed because of catastrophic failure...     Thanks for the links, I ran the cleanup utility, got rid of the existing .net installs, reinstalled them all, but am now back to the same issue. The troubleshooting didn't help a lot of windows 7 unfortunately.

    I have a feeling this is a side effect of my install of Visual Studio 2010. *Frown 4.7.2 Net framework install failure for windows ten :(

    Try installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4, the newer version: webinstaller or stand-alone.

    If you want to uninstall\cleanup your .net this may help: .NET Framework Cleanup Tool User's Guide

    Hi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to un-check and recheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series from Windows features.

    Try the following steps:

    • Press Windows + R keys to open Run command.
    • Type Appwiz.cpl and select "turn Windows feature on or off" from the left
    • Uncheck .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
    • Restart the computer
    • Repeat step 1 and 2 and check .Net framework 3.5 and .Net framework 4.6 advance series.
    • Restart the computer.
