Windows 10: 4 key on number pad "stuck" after Win10 updates

I have an Alienware 17 R4, running Win10 Professional (current working build of 16299). I've tried to install the April update multiple times over the past few months, but every time I install the April build, the 4 key on my number pad sticks. This either results in 4's being regularly inserted into my typing or the back-arrow being activated if I turn off Number Lock. I've tried updating all my drivers (specifically for the keyboard, but everything), but the issue persists.


I've gone back to the previous build 4 or 5 times already, and then the problem resolves, so I'm fairly confident the issue is in the April update somewhere. Any suggestions on how to install the April update but resolve the number pad issue?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

 

key 10 pad numbers -

key 10 pad numbers - not working is their some kinda toggle key??? besides num lock.

our office got these keyboards for us and we have had all kinds of "weird" little issues... like this -- we are not happy with these keyboards.

anyone got any suggestions....

 

Problem with my number keys. The ones that don't work are 1-4 and 7-0 on the numbers below the function keys, and the 1 and 4 on my number pad.

HP pavillion intel I3-7100 8GB ram

last MS updates KB 4088785 AND KB 408876 BOTH ON 3/13/2018 Think this is when problem began, but it wont let me back it out.

On screen keyboard works obviously, tried resetting key board by changing language. device manager says driver is correct, HP website says driver is correct,

Saw on here problem reported back in 2015 but neither suggestion worked.
