4 Partitions after reinstall of windows 10

Windows 10 was not working correctly on my PC so I decided to factory reset the PC but which did not work.

The PC was giving me this message (Boot Device Not Found 3F0) later on the PC gave a different message, OS is missing, I have downloaded the OS from Microsoft website and reboot it via USB stick.

My PC is back to normal, I Originally had 2 partition on my PC but now I have 4.

The Local Disk (C4 Partitions after reinstall of windows 10 :) 839GB Windows ( D4 Partitions after reinstall of windows 10 :) 75.4 GB Local (E4 Partitions after reinstall of windows 10 :)508 MB Recovery (F4 Partitions after reinstall of windows 10 :) 14.9 GB

    My questions is this;

    1. How can I turn my PC back to 2 Partitions on Windows 10?

    2. How can access the windows download on the D: drive ?

    3. On Local C: drive the is no sign of any windows updates such as Microsoft Visual C++, Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver. Where are these updates because I can't see them D: Driver either.?

I can't see the windows downloaded dates.
The Windows D: Partition is empty.

Any help and advise is very much appreciated.

    :)

    W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

    - press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
    - diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
    - list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
    - select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
    - clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
    - create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
    - exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
    - click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that

[Solved] Windows 10 keeps reinstalling KB3119142

I noticed quite some time ago that KB3119142 (Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Update 4 Redistributable Package) kept reinstalling itself for some reason. At least once daily. Sometimes up to several times a day. I just ignored it. It didn't seem to be doing any harm. And I figured they'd eventually fix it. Well...days turned into weeks, weeks into months, with no end to the problem in sight. It dragged on unsolved for at least the last few months. Literally reinstalling itself hundreds of(at least a hundred, felt like more) times in that period of time.

So I finally googled it a couple days ago. And just got around to fixing it today. Which appears to have worked. And it couldn't have been easier to do. I feel so stupid to have let it intimidate me for so long.*Oops! 4 Partitions after reinstall of windows 10
Below are links to the thread that I got the fix idea from, and the official MS support info page for KB3119142(from which I quoted the above).

4 Partitions after reinstall of windows 10

    Download Windows 10 TH/RS

For the convenience of not having to use the installation media for startup repairs. But you should be able to use your installation media to do whatever the recovery partition does(including startup repairs). AFAIK. I could be wrong about that though.
I'm not sure if I follow you there. But if you clean install Windows 10 there will be at least 3 partitions.
    • (EFI System Partition)
    • (Primary Partition)
    • (Recovery/OEM Partition)
If you install from an OEM installation media there might(should?) be 4 partitions. Since there might(should?) be a Recovery partition and an OEM partition.
