    Hello. I just purchased a 4tb Seagate internal hdd, And I searched up multiple YouTube videos on how to unstall it and nothing worked I plugged in the cable from the power supply and the sata cable to the mother board. The hdd is getting power but it’s not showing up in device management. I tryed all the different sata ports and it’s still not showing up, anyone that has any fix would be much appreciated thanks

    My new HDD is not showing up on disk manager, but shows up in BIOs

    I tried doing that and the 4TB HDD (which would be disk 2 in this case) is not showing up in the disk list, just the first 2 disks aka disk 0 and disk 1

    how would i do the rest of the steps if the HDD isn't in the CMD list disk at all?

    hdd no show

    I just put a hdd into an external enclosure and put it via e-sata onto my comp, but I can't get it to show up in my computer. Its detected in the bios, and its in the device manager, and it says ready to use, but it won't show up in my computer. What gives?*Confused 4tb hdd not showing up on my computer the hdd is getting power but not showing up in device... :confused:

    It isn't unformatted either. I got mythbuntu on it atm, but I will reformat it as soon as I can get it to show........

    HDD in a HDD caddy is not showing up in the disk management

    Hi,

    To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions:

    • How are you connecting the HDD Caddy?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?

    If you are connecting the device using USB, I suggest you to check if other USB devices are recognized as USB devices or Other device. If it is displaying as other device, then the issue might be with the USB port. So, I suggest you to update the USB drivers
    by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
    • Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller.
    • Right click on the drive, select Update Driver Software and follow the on-screen prompts.

    Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.
