Windows 10: 5.1 Sound issues after 20h2 update?

So immediately after the update, my gaming sound is different. It's dropped to 2.1 in steam games (No sub or back L or R) and severe volume drop in 5.1 for other games.

Media player is fine in 5.1 and speaker config runs normally with good sound and no problems detected.

Has any one else experienced something like this and have any suggestions on where to go from here?

The change on the sound quality of your device after the recent update can be related to an incompatible driver. As an initial step to resolve your concern, we suggest that you update your driver by following these steps:

• Type Device Manager in the search box.
• Press Enter.
• Click the drop-down arrow for Sound, video and game controllers to view the driver.
• Right-click the installed sound driver and select Properties.
• Click the Driver tab.
• Select Update Driver to update your sound driver.
• If the driver is updated, you can reinstall the existing driver by repeating steps
  1 to 5.
• This time, select Uninstall.
• After uninstalling the driver, restart your device to automatically reinstall the driver.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
