Windows 10: 5.1 sound problem not working

i use win10 build 10061 ..problem started in build 10041

problem is when i use 5.1 Surround speakers, they do not want to work any more i have try installing drivers many times when i try to Test sounds in Control Panel/Sound/playback/speakers/ (right click) configure Speakers [Audio channels]:5.1 Surround, it says: Failed to play test tone.

but if i change to 7.1 surround it can play test tone and working fine but not perfectly because i have only 5.1 speakers obviously.

and if i go Realteck HD audio manager/sound manager and that way when i use 5.1 test it got stuck some time and then nothing happen i have to change 7.1 again.

I have tried these too without result : 1) Start --> Run --> services.msc

2) In "Services" window, select Windows Audio from the left, then right click on it and choose restart.

and

Start > Run > Type "cmd" Enter> Type "sfc/scannow


(ok i downloaded and installed older version realtek audio driver and now it works )

Windows 10 5.1 surround sound not working

Same problem here. I do know that the running the 5.1 test will always work because it's playing back a sound file that is already 5.1 encoded. Running any program that will pass its sound to your hardware for 5.1 encoding gets processed as stereo.

I'm using a SoundBlaster X-Fi 5.1 Pro and everything worked fine in Windows 7. After upgrading to 10 I no longer get 5.1 sound from anything; all stereo. Creative updated their drivers but still no 5.1 so I'm guessing at this point Windows 10 is to blame.

Same problem here.

Sometimes I have sound from a mpg of in the beginning of a game. Also the windows sounds working.

(Or is this problem that the not working sound is 5.1 and the working sound stereo)

When is the patch expected?

 

what drivers? can you PM me the link? or post it here?... i have the same problem...
