    50% of Ram In Use While Idle and After Boot


    Hello, every time I boot up my laptop my RAM usage is always 40% or higher. I have a laptop "Omen by HP Laptop 15-dc0xxx" and it came installed with 8GB ram, up until recently everything was working as expected but I tried to play ARK Survival and noticed my RAM usage was not adding up. After some tweaking and researching I found some articles here on Reddit advising that I turn off FastBoot, Change my Registry NDU values and updated my network driver bluetooth+wifi. I tried to boot with Safemode and it seemed to be fine, the ram usage was about 1GB but when I booted back into normal I was experiencing the same issue and my ram usage is 4.5GB/8GB or higher.

    RAM usage 50±% on idle.

    Hello, my laptop uses around 50% RAM usage when its not doing anything.

    I'd like to have this fixed.

    without Firefox its on 43% usage, which still looks alot for me considering it to be on idle.

    BitDefender was updating.

    I actually have 8gb of ram, not 4gb.

    Windows Using Upwards of 60% RAM when Idle

    Hey community,

    I've noticed when my system is idle (nothing actively open), it's using 50% to 60% RAM. I've searched around a bunch and tried some suggestions, but none have fixed the issue. I've booted into safe mode in an attempt to find the source of the issue but wasn't
    able to as the system idled at only 15%.

    My computer has 16 GB of RAM, but I can really only use half of it. Looking through the running processes in Task Manager and Resource Monitor, the usage values don't even add up to the amount used - something hidden is using a bunch of extra RAM.

    If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it.

    System Specs:

    Intel Core i7 6700k

    16 GB RAM

    Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 8 GB

    Let me know if I need to provide more information.
