Windows 10: 5ghz Hotspot not working

Recently upgraded my motherboard which has a intergrated AX210 wi-fi adapter. I have been trying to create a 5ghz hotspot, but everytime I do I get the same message:"The selected network band isn't available. Select a different band and try again"I've seen this article online but I don't know if this is relavant as I have several other devices that can start a 5ghz hotspot including a windows laptop with a AX201https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000029083/wireless.htmlI have checked my drivers, BIOS and firmware and they all seem up to date. Windows 10 5GHz Mobile Hotspot Option

Hi Richard,

What I am doing is trying to create a 5GHz hotspot on my desktop WiFi card, that does support 5GHz, to my smart tv that also supports 5GHz. The only connection I have going to my router is my desktop through a Ethernet cable. From this theoretical setup,
everything should work; but the windows mobile hotspot software is not letting me set up a 5GHz hotspot on my desktop.

2. This is kind of confusing so ill try to keep it simple:

My 5GHz hotspot has worked before and recently aswell, but it is completely random, and I have no control over it.. ( I don't have the drop-down window to select the band)

I am trying to figure out why I can't tell it to use 5ghz

NB. having looked at the link you suggested, I don't have the drop down menu in the first picture, it just isn't there.

Windows 10 5ghz Hotspot not working

Hi everyone,

I am trying to set up a 5GHz hotspot, from my laptop. My laptop is connected to the internet via ethernet.

So my hotspot works, I can get a 2.4GHz connection perfectly well, but the problem is, I don't have the drop-down menu when setting up to select "5GHz".

but as can be seen, I don't have a drop-down menu...

Now I would like to point out, I have done my research, and the most common answer is that my laptop does not have the hardware to broadcast the 5GHz bandwidth.

However, this is not what is happening in my case, because on multiple occasions my hotspot is a 5GHz hotspot, the problem is I can not
make it happen, every so often it just decided to do it, but there is no correlation that I can see...
