Windows 10: 7.1 Sound can’t turn it on.

Im struggling because I can’t turn 7.1 sound around on in my windows 10. If I go to virtual sound at speakers settings I see that it says Virtual sound around but I can’t activate it, Windows Sonic for headset also and Dolby production both can’t be turned either. I have Asus Xonar DGX and my Headset is Hyperx Cloud 2. If I plug the headset in my other pc I can listen to youtube ASMR while the headset has left and right side. But it doesn’t work on my Pc. Also with gaming I don’t hear enemy footsteps from left or right coming instead I hear them from both left and right headphones.

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Sony Sound Forge 7 won't open since Windows 10 upgrade

Tried to open my registered Sony Sound Forge 7 software program today and realized that since Windows 10 upgrade, like some other software programs affected, this one won't open.

(1) Tried some of the suggestions in regedit but didn't see all of the Sony entries listed in the steps

(2) Tried opening with "run as administrator" - didn't work.

Any suggestions?

• Are you getting any error message?
• Have you installed all the pending Windows updates?
