Windows 10: ~75% of my ram is being used with no foreground programs open

I swear my computer didn't have issues before, but now with only MBAM, discord and steam taking up more than a tenth of a Gigabyte 75% of my 16Gbs of ram is taken up. Do I have a virus or is this something I'm going to have to deal with unless I get an upgrade?

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

 

Internet Explorer uses a lot of RAM

This issue may arise due to:

• Opening multiple tabs at a time.
• Using add-on.
• Virus.
• Multiple internet explorer opens in Task manager.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and also check whether multiple Internet explorer process are running at the same time.

• Press Ctrl + Alt + Del
• Open Task manager.
• Click on Detail Tab.
• You will see MicrosoftEdgeCP.exe file.
• Right Click and End Task.
• Restart the computer.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to perform virus scan by using Windows Defender Offline Beta from the below link and check if it helps.
