    8.1 Downloaded Update will not install - how to delete from queue


    Windows 8.1, Windows Update has downloaded HP printer software update that will not install. The update is not needed anyway due to a fresh install of this printer software from HP support.How can this downloaded Windows update be removed from queue, since it will never install and is not needed anyway? Otherwise, I will keep getting "download failed" messages, and it is a lot of work to uncheck this item every time there is something else to download.

    Driver Update/install

    Ok, so let me get the basics down first.

    1st delete the old driver(software or one by one)
    2nd Install new drivers from download
    3rd test new drivers

    Reboot after steps 1 & 2?

    Download Queue

    Try deleting it from the queue and then starting the download again.
