Windows 10: 8 GB physical RAM but only 4GB is accessible

I just noticed that after a clean reboot, when I check the Task Manager there is only 3GB of memory that is accessible - the only programs running at startup are Bitdefender, Onedrive and Crashplan and they take up less than 1 GB of memory. After running a few browser tabs, the disk drive or fan starts to make visible noise and the computer slows down. My primary disk drive is an SSD .I ran a memory check through the BIOS and the 8GB passed. I am running Windows 10 64 bit.

Windows shows 8GB RAM installed but 4GB RAM is usable

Hi There,

I've just upgraded my pc from 4GB RAM to 8GB RAM. Windows seems to have detected this upgrade but why does it show as only 4GB RAM available. The following is what I have tried so far with no luck:

• I have tried the msconfig method on ensuring maximum memory is not checked.
• physically removed the new RAM and reinstalled it

Any thoughts/suggestions on how i can resolve this matter?

Help,i have 2 modules of ram,1 of 8gb and 1 of 4gb,but the 8gb module is splited in half(4gb) please help,,i have 8 gb of ram,not 12

It shows me i have 8 gb of ram,i tried getting the 4gb ram out,to see if it s malfunctioning,but after i took it out i had 4 gb of ram,i mean i think the 8gb ram stick is malfunctioning,beacuase i have 8 gb ram,instead of 12

 

Blue Screen after installing a 8 GB RAM

Hello.

So, my problem is that, i changed my 4 GB RAM to a 8 GB. Before, with the 4 GB RAM I was playing on GTA 5 and it was slow but it worked. Now, I changed my old 4gb ram to the 8 gb and now it works well on higher graphics but after some minutes it stops and
there's the blue screen.. I bought a DDR3L RAM. It works but in this game it fails.. I don't know what could be the issue :/ Can anybody help me, please ? (Sorry for my english :/ )
