    8007025D-2000c unknown error

My Dell Inspiron 13Z laptop is showing an error message "Error(s) found: 8007025D-2000c Window update encountered an unknown error" while downloading window10 update. The Laptop is fully compatible as per window10 PC check. Dell site says that this series of laptop is not tested for window 10 upgrade.

Would be obliged if somebody tells me whether I should go for the upgrade and if yes how to solve the error indicated.

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

You might be better off performing a custom install.

    Backup before doing so:

How to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8

    Then download the .ISO:

    How
to download official Windows 10 ISO files

    then

How to: Perform a custom installation of Windows

    then

    Recover
personal files from the Windows.old such as Documents Pictures and Windows Live Mail Emails in Windows

This of course means reinstalling applications and hardware drivers

    After Installing Windows 10

    Hello nneogi,

I think it is worth persisting *Smile There are some basic steps you can take to reduce the chances of errors when upgrading.

    1. If you have not already, you will need to disable or uninstall any 3rd party AV or security program you have installed first to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade to Windows 10. You can enable or reinstall it again after Windows 10 has finished installing.

    2. Remove any USB devices attached to your device (probably don't have any as it is a laptop but still worth asking).

    3. Make sure all your drivers are up to date in Device manager before you upgrade.

There are also a number of tutorials on here that show you how to do an upgrade via different methods:
