I have been having an issue with updates on my
Dell Inc. Inspiron 3137 laptop for about 4 days now. Windows update runs for a good 15 minutes then I get the error code 800705b4 and no list of updates are visible.

When I ran the windows troubleshooting tool it gave me this message: "Service registration is missing or corrupt".

What do I do next to fix this issue?

Error code 0x800705B4 means that the connection to Microsoft servers timed out. Please make sure that the son's computer is connected to the Internet, and try again.

If the issue persists, on the son's computer, please select "My parent is here", log into your (adult) account, and see whether you can access the desktop.
