8GB RAM is installed, only 7.88 GB useable….can someone explain why does that appear? And if it’s normal or not? Would it affect the performance of the laptop?

16Gb ( 12 Gb useable )

previously it was 16Gb ( 12 Gb useable )
if i installed the ram following ASUS manual

what works is completely NOT what ASUS
recommended.....

 

Full RAM not useable

My wife’s computer is running Windows 10, 64 bit, with a 2.80 gigahertz Intel Core i5 760 processor. The motherboard is an Intel Corporation DH55TC AAE70932-302.



The machine also has a dedicated video card.



Recently, I increased her 4 GBs of RAM to 8 GBs. (Two memory strips of 2 GBs each – a total of four strips for 8 GBs.)



“Device Specifications” under Settings shows that all 8 GBs are “Installed RAM,” however, only 3.93 GBs are usable.



How do I make all GBs of RAM useable?
