There are 9 visual bugs in Insider Windows 11 versie 23H2 and older, which mostly aren't fixed since the introduction of Windows 10. The bugs given below are mostly available in the latest builds NL-NL region of Windows Insider build 23H2. Win 8 (dutch DVD) update -> Win 8.1 NL-> Win 10 1511 (NL/UK) upgrade?


Hi members,

I bought a Windows 8 Pro x64 NL DVD and installed it. Updated to Win 8.1 Pro x64 NL and changed language and keyboard setting to English (US) for better use of my Windows system in flightsims (no translation needed on forums):





1. do I need the (dutch) or (english) Windows 10 Pro x64 .ISO to update (no clean install) my Windows system?

2. Do I need to set language / date&time / region / location to the original dutch install of Windows 8.1 or do I use the current control panel settings?

2. I have ESET (based on the older NOD32) Smart Security v8.0.312.4 running, as I've read that it is wise to un-install it, don't I put my system at risk during the install? Can I install the upgrade without an internet connection?

Somewhere the Dutch language/regional setting is hiding

I just installed Windows 10. New install.

I remember setting the the Region to the Netherlands, because I'm used to € and separating digits with a comma instead of a period.

All other language and regional settings are set to United States.

However, all my browsers now redirect corporate websites to the dutch alternative.

I.e. Asus.com -> Asus.com/nl

Microsoft.com -> microsoft.com/nl-nl

I don't want any website to think it's intelligent. I want the English website whenever I type a .com address.

So, here's what I did:

In Region, I set Country to United States

In Region, I set Regional format to English (United States)

In Language, I set Windows display language to English (United States)

In Language, I set Preferred Languages to English (United States)

I also changed all languages to United Kingdom once, rebooted, and changed it back to United States.

I cleared my cookies in Chrome and Edge. And I tried several websites in Incognito/Private Mode.

Guess what: no luck.

Both in Chrome and Edge, I'm still being redirected to the dutch websites.

What am i missing in this case?

 

(KB3146014) [nl-NL_LP] fails to install

Windows 10 will not allow me to install Dutch Language Pack - Windows Technical Preview for x64-based Systems - (KB3146014) [nl-NL_LP]. I read elsewhere on the web that someone was having trouble installing the Spanish language. Is this problem limited
to just these two languages or all languages?
