Windows 10: _icon files suddenly appeared in my images folder

Good morning. I recently noticed _icon files for every image in my images folder. After spot checking several, it seems that they were all created this year. Why is Windows suddenly creating _icon files for all of my images rather than just using the thumbs.db file for thumbnails? Is there a way that I can turn this feature off?Here's an example of a file name for one of those files so that you understand what I'm referencing:"A Star to Light Your Way_jpg_icon.png"There is a file like that for every image in the folder and I have tons of images.Here's the OS info:Edition Windows 10 ProVers

Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?
