  1. A better way to manage Windows 10 updates?

I find the current method in which Microsoft pushes their updates to be unacceptable. Frankly I'm fed up with the forced updates just happening out of nowhere and I can't control them. They just download in the background, it just tells you "hey, this is going to be installed whether you like it or not, when do you want it to happen?"

I need to know if there's some third-party program or different version of Windows that lets you control what gets downloaded and when, and gives you full control of what gets installed. All I want are the security updates, I don't want any Windows 10 bloatware, no store, no OneDrive, nothing. I don't want universal cloud linkage, I don't want "tailored ads", or any ads to appear on my freaking start menu in the first place. Just firmware and security optimization, and the pure OS. Is that even possible anymore?

Edit: I'd like something similar to how the Windows 7 system updates were handled. User controlled, and details as to contents.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
