Windows 10: A bizarre problem

I've had this problem for a while now. The buttons on my taskbar don't work. launching programs works fine, but opening the start menu, volume controller, wifi controller, search do nothing. no errors, no complaints, no freezing. Just. Nothing. Ive been making do with the run menu etc, but Im starting to get fed up.



stupid things like this are why I hate this god forsaken operating system. Why cant the world just use linux like sane people? on linux its actually possible to bugfix things...the necessary evils of windows that we gamers have to put up with...*sigh*

Bizarre n95 8gig problem

Hey folks. Been using my n95 8 gig for a year or so with little problem. Any problems I have had have been solved with a firmware updte, but the weirdest problem has started to happen.



Since this morning whenever I try to text or use the numberpad, after a few quick presses the fone starts the camera ap. I have to exit out and continue to text. It continually happens. Took me damn near 10 minutes to send one text.



Now I've tried everything I can think of: It doesn't need updating, tried soft reset, hard reset, formatting, leaving the fone off with the battery out, no sim card all that jazz.



I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I'm starting to think it's most likely a hardware problem and will need to be binned or sent back.

Bizarre syncing and verification problems

When I try to verify me contact number I get an error saying, "Unfortunately, something went wrong while trying to complete your request. Try again." I keep on trying but nothing changes, please help.

Hi, unless you're very lucky and MS has recently fixed it, that Powershell command breaks apps as from some time after 10586. It used to 'fix' them = 'reinstall', but you'll probably end up with a load of them with an @ in front.

Unless there's a specific fix you could try:
a. System Restore (if you had it enabled and there's a useful restore point)
b. an in-place upgrade repair install
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade - Windows 10 Forums
(needs Windows install medium, leaves almost everything intact, and is the option used by people after spending a long time hoping for a specific fix).

A much faster option is to routinely use disk imaging-- very strongly recommended in particular with this immature OS.
- fast restore to a previous working state
- full backup of what's imaged
- preserves your system and your sanity

 

I tried snoopy's suggestion, got some errors. Is there a package for the taskbar itself?
