    A black box shows up when I try opening a microsoft store game


    Some time ago already I bought some games from microsoft store slime rancher 1 & 2 bundle and unpacking but i still havent been able to play them. Both slime ranchers open but when I need to press space/a key to get into the menu this gray box shows up and I cant play the game. With unpacking its worse as I cant get through the game company title/logo. I've attached an image and I also recorded it but I'm unsure as how to upload that.I have bought and played other games through microsoft store and i've never had this problem. The other games work perfectly even now. I've tried some solut

    Using games from the microsoft store

    Based on the results you've obtained, this can be an issue with the Windows Store which affects the digital games you’ve downloaded from it. We suggest manually resetting the Windows Store cache. Here are the steps:

    • Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.
    • Type WSReset.exe and click OK.
    • The Store and a command prompt will now open with any message. The command prompt will automatically close after the Store's cache has been reset.
    Once done with the reset, kindly click this
    link     and follow the steps on how to check for updates for apps and games from Windows Store. Search if there are any updates available for the affected game.

    Microsoft Store games won't open

    Oh. And what is your suggestion if I cannot open Gears of War 4, a 40 gb game, cannot open Netflix, and none of the store applications???

    reinstall these? it costs me 6 hours almost.

    Hi,

    I suggest that you reset the Windows store, follow the steps below.

    Reset the Windows Store

    You can use the steps below to refresh the Store which will clear the cache and refresh your library and permissions.

    • Close the Windows Store app if you have it open.
    • Click Start and type wsreset.
    • Right-Click on the command and click Run as Administrator. If the Windows permission box appears, click Yes or Run.
    • A black MS DOS screen will appear for a few seconds. Wait for it to disappear and the Store will automatically open.
    • Attempt to install Sea of Thieves
