Windows 10: A confusing error message during Office update and now messages are appearing in Brazilian...

As I restarted my Windows 10 desktop PC with 1809 this morning, a small window appeared that said "Office is being updated please wait a few moments." So I started only Task Manager and waited and after a couple of minutes this window appeared:




I'm not sure what this means. Is or was there a problem? "We couldn't open Office..." and next it says "Please try again later." What am I supposed to "try again later"? Did I do something wrong? Is Office reporting that it shot itself in the foot or what?


I clicked on "You can go online..." and this page appeared:




This is about what to do if one receives a "something is wrong" error when attempting to open an Office application.


I checked my version of Office 365 Home:




When I clicked on "Update Options" and then "Update Office" this window appeared:



My version is current I guess.


I've checked all my Office apps and they seem to be running with no problems.


(1) What does the first error window mean and (2) why am I getting messages in Brazilian Portuguese?

Windows Update Error Message 0x80070543


Ya Ya Ya, there's over a hundred threads like this, ...

Anyway, started getting this error message a few days ago, and done a lot of searching on this error message, apparently it's not, uncommon.

In particular, the (currently) 4 updates that are being affected are:

• Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3173428) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3172729) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3174060) - Error 0x80070543
• Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3176493) - Error 0x80070543

The actions I've taken to date are:

1. Uninstalled firewall program (comodo)
2. Uninstalled anti-virus (Avast)
3. Reset the windows update catalog on local machine.

So the above errors are with the above done.

What other steps should I be taking to resolve the issue?

1. Attempted to use the troubleshooter, no dice.

 

Dual error message not fixed

i only get one message. i enabled log to file, created folder for it, then to test the error message, i deleted the folder, to prompt the error message, of which i got one. Ver 1.20.0

 

Office 2013 error

I get this error in Office 2013 every time I open an Office 2013 document. Anyone got any ideas? I followed the error message and it still pops up every time?
