Windows 10: A delay after a VPN connection and Windows 11 uses the new routes

HiI use Windows 11 Home 21H2 to access my corporate network using OpenVPN connect client 3.3.6 2752.I'm not using any kind of a firewall.The problem is: The VPN client starts to pass traffic after waiting around one minute after it shows successfully connectedI checked what route was used to reach the <destination IP> usingtracert <destination IP>Right after the VPN connection for one minute the non-VPN gateway is still used.After one minute the VPN gateway is finally used.I checked the routing table using 'route print' and the required VPN routes were active. But for some reason

Static Route become active after a variable delay

Hi

i have a problem with routing table in windows.

I'm using a VPN and have setted static routes in my laptop.

route add -p 0.0.0.0 mask 128.0.0.0 10.8.1.9 metric 1

route add -p 128.0.0.0 mask 128.0.0.0 10.8.1.9 metric 1

When i connect via VPN these route became active and i can show them with "route print"

but sometimes there is a variable delay before windows put these route in the active routing table.

When this happens i can't connect to my VPN server. After a 1 or 2 minutes these route became active and all work again.

i can't undestand why sometimes there is this delay in the routing table.

I don't find nothing surfing on the internet.

Please someone can explain why there is this delay?

Hi everyone.
I am not an expert about Vpn and that's why I would like to know if someone could list me a few trusted Vpns, I would really appreciate any suggestion/ advice.

How to set up a VPN in Windows 7 HELP!!

Following are the steps for configuring Incoming VPN Connection in Windows 7

First go to Control Panel and open Network and Sharing Center.
Click on Change adapter settings.
Press Alt+F and select New Incoming connection
Put a check on who you’d like to give access to this computer or you can configure a new account by clicking on Add someone,after that click on Next.
Put a check mark on Through the Internet. Click on Next.
Select the protocols you want to enable for this connection. Click on Allow access.
Make a note of the Computer name as this will be used by the client to connect to this computer and after that Click on Close.

Following are the steps for configuring Outgoing VPN Connection in Windows 7

First go to Control Panel and open Network and Sharing Center.
Click on Set up a new connection or network.
Select Connect to a workplace then click on Next.
Select Use my internet connection (VPN).
Type the IP address or computer name where you wish to connect and your connection name under the Destination name field.
Enter a User name and password that has been granted access to the host computer.
For getting connected through created VPN connection, you can either right-click on the Network icon in the system tray and select Network and Sharing Center or go to Control Panel and open Network and Sharing Center, and click on Connect to a network.
Now connect VPN Connection windows will appears.
