    "A device attached to the system is not functioning" in Windows 10


    I am getting A device attached to the system is not functioning" error while installing any .exe file on laptop. Below is one of example in this case team viewer.


    I have already taken few steps but invain getting same error again.

    1. First step, format and reinstalled Windows 10
    2. There was driver error in device manager for "*Dellpro" I uninstalled this device.
    3. I ran SEC and DISM scans but they intermittently aborted.


    Can someone help in fixing this error, can't install any software on laptop. Please help urgently.

    A device attached to the system is not functioning.

    Windows 10 HP ENVY 23, idt high definition audio codec. When I try to update the driver I get the error message A device attached to the system is not functioning. What can I do to correct this error?

    Just after the latest update to Windows 10, I've been experiencing issues on updating my other programs such as Skype and Nvidia drivers. Every .exe file I try to open ends up triggering the error message: "A device attached to the system is not functioning".
    How do I resolve this issue?

    Windows saying Device attached to system is not functioning

    Windows is not longer reading my smartphone- it keeps saying-Windows saying Device attached to system is not functioning- so I can't transfer photos anymore or load audiobooks. I know it's not the phone because it works on my laptop which is also windows
