Windows 10: A few issues with Windows functions

I am not sure when or why it happened but a few items in the tray don't work properly. One is the Window's button and icon in the tray. For a day or two, nothing happened when I tried to use the "Windows button" or clicked on the Windows icon in the tray. And the same thing happened with my "connections" icon although my computer does connect automatically to my network. In addition, when I try to open "file explorer", it will open for about two seconds and then shuts down again. Now, however, the "Windows" icon and connections icon will occasionally similarly open only to shut down about two seconds later.

Functionality issues in windows 10.

Now, please follow the below suggested methods and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Method 1:

This issue may happen due to system file corruption. I suggest you to run System file checker. System File checker (SFC) scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Kindly follow
the below given steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
  
• 
  In Command prompt type
  sfc/scannow and press enter.
  
• 
  Restart the computer.

Method 2:

If no corrupted system files were found in the previous state
or were irrecoverable, then I suggest you to try the following steps to employ the DISM command lines:

• 
  Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
  
• 
  In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:
  

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

• 
  Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Issues with printer and other Windows functionalities.

From the description of the issue, I understand that you are facing the following problems.

• Printer issue
• Certain functionalities of Windows which do not work properly.

Please refer to the below suggested steps for both the issues and see if it helps to resolve the problem

Issue 1

Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:

a) Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.

b) Click on Troubleshooting
tab.

c) Click on view all option on the upper left corner.

d) Select the Printers options from the list.

e) Click Next to run the Troubleshooter.

Issue 2

Perform the below suggested steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

• Open the Run Command Dialog Box window started as Administrator.

• Use the following command to repair corruption: Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth.
  
• Run this command next to employ the System File Checker:
  Sfc /scannow

• Now run these two commands:
  
  PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
  
  Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
