So I just built a new computer with all new components and it works great, no problems what's so ever so then I install windows 10 because I'm more familiar with it than I am with Windows 11. The first thing I do is all the windows 10 updates so its caught up to the latest update and soon as I'm done with the them I turn off any and all automatic updates and upgrades, so I will pick which ones I get from this point, then I make a restore point. Everything is running great all my drivers are working and I'm proud that my first computer build works without any problems or having to troubleshoot

    :)

  2. Can chkdsk /r ruin an SSD?

    It shouldn't ruin the SSD,

    Redirecting

My guess is that your PC ran into BSODs because you forced a shutdown when the scan was running. Never do that.

  3. Upgrading to windows 11

I have a few questions about windows 11...

    1. How many GB it is? when my pc suggested the upgrade yesterday, it said it's about 4GB just want to be sure.
    2. I'm using a windows 10 pro so if I upgrade, will it upgrade to a windows 11 pro?

Upgraded Windows Transfer from HDD to SSD

    Hi

My windows was upgraded from 8 to 10 on my laptop few years back. I was trying to get the HDD replaced with SSD. During the copy process, the technician said windows cannot be moved to SSD as it is an upgraded version from 8 to 10.

Kindly guide if there is a possibility to copy the windows to SSD ? If so, please suggest the steps.
