    A friend of mine keeps having an issue with a security warning popping up. Bad image


    Here is a SS of the issue he is having. I had him try doing a SFC scan, it didnt find any issues and I had him do these as well.DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealthDISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealthDISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealthSFC found no issues, scanhealth found a problem but said it could be fixed, then restore said it completed successfully. Hes on windows 11, I dont know what else to do. Does anyone have any ideas on what is causing this and how to fix it?

    Pop Up security warning

    Good that you didn't click on anything and that you didn't call that number. That what you were seeing are fake alerts which try to trick you into calling some obscure companies who then will try to sell you their unneeded services/products.

    Please read the following article which describes in detail various methods how to get out of such pop ups. The article also mentions methods how to prevent these kind of fake alerts.


    In case you keep on getting these pop ups, it is recommended to run some scans as described here:

    There are no more files and ASUS Data Security Manager

    I've been having the same issues trying to save files.

    I followed all of the steps but ASUS Data Security Manager keeps reappearing. How do I really get it to delete? I've done the uninstall four times and it just pops back in the list.

    • Since when are you experiencing the issue?
    • Is it still an ongoing issue on your computer?
