Windows 10: A graphic file can be opened but it closes itself after a few seconds

I run Windows 10 Pro, latest version.

Long ago I moved the documents folder from where it sits by default to another drive: E:\OneDrive\Documents\. In the Documents folder are various sub-folders. So far there are no problems, but since a week one problem occurred: I use ACDSee Ultimate for all my graphic files. If I doubleclick a graphic file JPEG, PNG etc. the file opens, but closes itself after a couple of seconds. [COLOR=rgba215, 57, 0, 1]THIS ONLY HAPPENS IN THIS FOLDER, NOT IN SUBFOLDERS IN THE DOCUMENTS FOLDER NOT ANYWHERE ELSE ON MY PC[/COLOR].

So why would an open graphic file close itself? Is it a ACDSee problem, a Windows problem or what? I contacted the support team of ACDSee. They provided various options to try, but none worked. The last option they offered was to completely uninstall ACDSee, clean the registry, delete all ACDSee folder, and reinstall again. I did that. Result: the problem persists.
Then I contacted Microsoft chat with a live person. This person suggested that perhaps the graphic files were corrupted, wrong suggestion, they are not corrupted, the are fine in any other location. The she suggested to reinstall Windows 10, after that she said the problem would be solved. Windows 10 was reinstalled, check opening graphic files in the documents folder, the problem persists.


So here I am, the experts are at a loss - and I am fairly certain that a simple solution can be found. Just nobody has hit on it yet. Has anyone here an idea?

opening .dds files with gimp

Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?

 

Store App opens loads for about a second then closes


1. Go to "This PC"
2. Double click "OS (C"
3. Open "Users"
4. Open your username (The Profile you are currently working in)
5. Open "AppData"
6. Open "Local"
7. Open "Packages"
8. Open "Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe"
9. Open "LocalCache"
10. Delete the entire folder, with contents, you see there.
For those who didn't want/need a step by step:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
Then delete the one folder in LocalCache.
And that's pretty much it. Opened store and no issues after. Also if anyone is having issues with the Mail App, if you have AVG, it's the firewall on that so just turn it off and mail will start syncing. Hope this helps everyone.
