Windows 10: A Heavy lag after BSOD

First of all, I have bought my laptop around 1 year ago and it's a gaming laptop. After working on it for 6 months, I started to get BSOD for the first time. I wasn't sure of the problem at the beginning but here's what happened. I got a message error of critical process died. I asked many people before I give it to an expert. They told me it's either a windows problem or a hard-drive issue. I did format, but it didn't work. I did reinstall for the windows, yet nothing happened. but when I went for an expert he told me that it's a hard-drive issue my hard drive was an SSD 1T. I tried to cha

Random lag spikes

We would like to know more about your lag issue:

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

Resolution and lag

Hello people of Microsoft.

I can't change the resolution of my screen. The text is grey and nothing happens if I click on it.

It is stuck on 1920 x 1080. I know it's suggested but I used to have it bigger.

Also, I am experiencing heavy lag on games like Terraria, which used to be lagless a while ago.

The lag made the game unplayable with 4 fps or something around that.

It might be the new Windows update, but I don't know what exactly could've changed.

Random BSOD while browsing internet


BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.
