    Trying to sign into my laptop=>entered the password, it asked me to create a pin. I click next, “We weren’t able to set up your PIN. You can try again, or skip this step and set up a PIN later.”Clicking on "Skip for now" takes back to main screen where I log into my Microsoft account. This is going in a loop and i cant login into my system.I saw multiple solutions provided, tried each and every solution, but none worked. Impacting my exams. Pls point to the right solution at the earliest.Now i'm stuck cant use my Hp laptop.

    Can't create pin for login. Pin stopped working

    Hi Kevin,

    To resolve your concern about creating pin to your computer, we suggest that you follow these steps:

    • Navigate to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC (click to get permission when prompted).
    • Delete the contents of that folder (delete everything in that folder, but leave that folder and everything above it).
    • Go back to settings, accounts, sign in options.
    • Your non-working pin will now be gone, and you can just click 'add a pin' and set it again.

    Create PIN Loop

    I just bought a Dell laptop with Windows 10, I doing the startup procedures and got to the part which told me to create a PIN. I click on Create PIN then it went into what I would call a loop. I rebooted, each time I got to the create pin it would go in to a loop. Need help. Thanksl

    I need a PIN to sign in, but never created one and can't create one because I need a PIN in order to do so?

    I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble creating a PIN for your Xbox account.

    Here are some steps you can follow to create a PIN:

    • Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    • Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & PIN > Create my PIN.
    • Enter a 6-digit PIN, and then re-enter the PIN to confirm.
    If you've forgotten your PIN and can't access restricted console features, follow these steps:

    • When you're prompted to enter your PIN on the console, enter any 6-digit combination three times.
    • Enter your Microsoft account password when prompted.
    • Select Make a new PIN.
    • Enter a new PIN, and then enter it again to confirm.

    If you're still having trouble, it might be a good idea to reach out to Xbox customer support for further assistance. If there is anything not clear or I can't understand your problem, please do not hesitate to let me know.
