    A lot of my desktop items have been turned into globes or white pages


    I was trying to remove stuff from OneDrive and clicked "clear up space" because I didn't know what it did. It then started doing something weird so I cancelled it. Now a lot of my desktop items are blue globes or blank sheet icons. They still work, but look really weird. How should I fix this?

    windows 10 shortcut icons turning to globes on my desktop

    A number of my short cuts on my desktop have suddenly turned to globes.

    I put them there by opening page in IE from Edge, and then creating shortcut.

    Anybody know how to turn them back into their normal company logos?

    Windows 11 - Random desktop icons turn white, blank page.

    Since updating to Windows 11 random desktop icons turn white or a blank page., however the application / program works. Randomly the icons turn white with no rhyme or reason. Any fixes ?

    The white line suggests you have turned on 'Auto arrange icons'. I have just turned it on and seen some similar 'odd' effects. Try right-clicking on the Desktop and un-ticking View > Auto arrange icons.
