Windows 10: A microsoft defender message came on my computer with a microsoft number- I allowed access...

The Microsoft Defender was loud and the Microsoft Number that I was asked to call was 833-493-7171. The reps name was Christine but she clearly had a Chinese accent. She asked for $299 to fix my viruses and when I said no, she became very anger and I asked to speak to a supervisor and she refused and hung up the phone. I did grant her access to my computer initially, so what malware software can be run now?

Microsoft Defender firewall list of allowed apps and functions

Hello all

My game League of Legends, it is not on the Microsoft Defender firewall list of allowed apps and functions, and yet I can play it. All my other games is on the list. This is the case on both my laptop and main PC.

How can this be?
Have I somehow granted it access in some other way?

MS ACCESS: A7 Building Queries in Microsoft Access

Hello, I'm having problems with creating a database from this questions. I was able to do get to a point but won't show or missing something. Can anyone help on these questions:

2. Display the CustomerNum, CustomerName, OwnerName, Phone, RestaurantType, and FirstContact of customers who were first contacted in 1992 and 1993. The list should be sorted by the FirstContact date (with the most recent at the top) within RestaurantType in ascending order.

3. Write this query in SQL. It should be your SQL code and not the one generated by Microsoft Access. Show the CustomerNum, OrderNum, and InvoiceAmt for orders that were placed by customers with CustomerNum in the 500s (that is numbers that fall between 500 and 599) or valued at $2,000 or more. Sort the list by CustomerNum in ascending order.

Better free alternative to microsoft defender?

I'm the unofficial computer guy for my family.

Up until now I have used microsoft defender or security essentials on everyone's computers.

I have tried to teach them how to avoid getting viruses but they still end getting infected.

It seems defender just isn't very good and today was the final straw.

My aunt called me because her computer was not working and when I looked at it it had a full blow ransomware virus.

The virus was running with the message demanding ransom up on the screen and defender had done nothing to stop it.

So now I'm here asking if there is a better option?

I would prefer free but if i have to go with something paid i'll make my family members pay for it or tell them to stop calling me. *Laugh :laugh:
