Windows 10: a mouse and keyboard center error 1603; b arc mouse: must click on far left edge to execute...

System: Dell XPS15 2022, Windows 11:I'm hoping to get a solution for one or both of the following issues:1. Surface Arc Mouse bluetooth has suddenly started to malfunction - in order to execute a left click, the clicking finger must be over the far left edge of the mouse. A standard left click registers as a right click. Also, the mouse movement becomes erratic and must be turned off/on to move properly again.2. In order to attempt to fix problem 1 above, I attempted to update the mouse and keyboard center software because I was prompted to update. The software glitches out about 1/5 of

Error 1603 when trying to install Microsoft Mouse & Keyboard Center

I've searched all over the internet to try to find a solution for this Error 1603 that I am getting when I am trying to install Microsoft Mouse & Keyboard Center. I did a recent in place upgrade for Windows 10 (Anniversary edition) and I was sure that this program was already installed.

The driver for the mouse works fine and is listed in Device Manager but I would like to have this software as it can enable you to assign certain functions for you mouse keys for specific apps. It's a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 and the software for it is MouseKeyboardCenter_64bit_ENG_2.8.106

There is a Microsoft Program troubleshooter that I ran that didn't help one bit. Then I read in the Microsoft forums a suggestion of trying to install it by doing a clean boot, but that didn't work either. This Error 1603 seems to be a common problem but I have yet to find a solution to it.

On top of that Windows Update is trying to install some updates for the mouse (and keyboard even though it's only a mouse that I have) and it is giving me error messages as well (see screenshot)

I couldn't find any info online for the error message it gives which is Error 0x800705b3.

Has anyone else encountered a similar issue and if so, what did you do to resolve it?

Mouse not visible in Mouse and Keyboard Center

I use Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard and Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse, The first is visible in Mouse and Keyboard Center, but not the mouse. The mouse
does work, however one of the reasons I have chosen this particular mouse is the additional settings in Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center, which I cannot use.

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. No improvement.

The mouse is on the list of supported devices and I'm surprised by this issue as I have never heard such a problem before. It is my second Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse.
