Windows 10: A program is running slower after I updated Windows to a new version

So a week ago my windows updated from 1909 version to 2004. The update was completed with success and now it is running great and without any problem. But the issue is: the program that I use to work was working normal and smoothly but when I updated to this new version the program has been running normal but a bit slow. Everything is working smoothly on my computer except this program. I have a really good pc. Windows is installed in a SSD of 240gb. Before the update I had 100 gb free and now I have just 78 gb free due to the windows.old folder. What could be causing this with only this program. Is it the space on the hard drive or what?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

geforce experience takes an age to load..

Well that's why I asked. Mine is on SSD and takes 11 seconds. Your list of games will not appear if it has not checkd for updated suggested settings for awhile until it checks.

When it says it is refreshing the game list, it is checking, because NVIDIA periodically updates suggested settings. Plus it will look for those for new games you have installed.

So, the less it is run, the slower it will be.

 

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
