  1. A QUESTION ABOUT INCOMPATIBLE THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE WHEN DOING A FULL UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 11

ABOUT THIRD-PARTY PROGRAMS: I heard somewhere that programs not compatible with Windows 11 will be uninstalled during the full upgrade to Windows 11 from Windows 10. Is this true--requiring me to check all the third-party apps I've installed for compatibility up-front--or will any non-compatible apps still be there, and simply not run properly post-Windows 11-upgrade until upgraded themselves? I'd like to get the full upgrade out of the way without having to check a lot of apps first to see if they need to be upgraded first.

    :)

I have a question about upgrading to windows 11

Steps in order... (these steps are for @Eaglepi 's motherboard)

    1. Make a full OS image backup with Macrium Reflect, and make the bootable Rescue Media.
    2. Use those two commands to see if your disk(s) are GPT.
    3. If the Windows disk is GPT... turn ON Secure Boot in the BIOS
    4. Then all you need do is follow the directions here...
    Let's install Windows 11 on a incompatible hardware | Page 14 | Windows 11 Forum

For everyone else... the FIRST thing you need to do is get and use backup software.
Macrium Reflect is the most used backup software on these forums.
Everything you need is posted at the bottom of post #4.

If you plan to do ANYthing major...
like trying out Windows 11 or even doing serious tweaks on Windows 10... make a backup FIRST.

If the Macrium guide in post #4 is not enough... here is the full tutorial:

    Good LAN party games?

Most of my suggestions have already been listed.

However, I found Swat4 to actually be a pretty fun LAN game, especially at smaller LAN parties.
