    A reference screenshot of the window:I'm trying to maximize the FPS I am getting in games. So, some YouTubers say that setting Processor Scheduling to Programs in Performance Options gives more FPS, while some say that setting it to background services gives more FPS.I'm literally confused, can someone tell me which is actually true?

    I suggest you to follow the Methods below and check if it helps.

    Method 1: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with system. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your System
    Maintenance.

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
    • Run the System Maintenance troubleshooter.


    And also ensure that the Task Scheduler service is running.


    • Follow the steps to check the service.

    • Press Windows + R, type Services.msc

    • Select the Task scheduler service and restart the service and check if it helps.

    Does the value of decimal 26 for Win32PrioritySeparation have a different effect on separation the hexdecimal 26?

    if it does what would the effects be?
