Windows 10: A question. If I have iTunes and Zune software both on my computer are my music files...

I no longer have a functional Zune (r.i.p man I loved that thing) device. I love the slickness of the Zune software and the aesthetics and the ease. I love how whatever you put in your music folders shows up automatically in the software and hate that iTunes has extra steps. Especially if you move a file iTunes is like ‍♀️ we don’t know where that went but Zune picks it up.

My computer has been slowing down quite a bit recently and am wondering what I can do to help this. If the Software and extra storage location of music and photos are adding to this slow down I may need to delete Zune. Please advise.

Any way to get the Zune software to work on Windows 10?

I still have and love my old Zune HD, it's my main music player, but I recently moved from a Windows 7 computer to a Windows 10 and I can't seem to install the software anymore. I tried looking online for fixes and found the offline Zune installer since the software is no longer supported by Microsoft and it can't contact the Microsoft Zune page anymore. A lot of people said this worked for them but I still keep getting errors. I've ran out of things to try and was wondering if anyone here knew how I could make it work?

This is the error I keep getting:





It goes through the preparing your computer step and onto the installing step, gets to about 6-13% and then jumps to 88% and then the error pops up. I tried installing the firmware first as someone online suggested but that didn't help either (though I had the x86 version first and now when I try to install the right x64 version it pops up that a version of this is already installed but it's not under my program files for me to delete the wrong one.) Either way, the error occurs regardless of what I've tried. My only other option is to use a VM but I really don't want to as that's so much more trouble. I'd love to get it working on my Win 10!

 

Transfer music files from computer to iTunes

To transfer the music files from the computer to the iTunes, follow the steps:

1. Open iTunes and click on ‘File’ tab.

2. Select ‘Add File to Library’ from the drop down menu.

3. Navigate to the folder (Music folder) on the One Drive.

4. Select the music folder and click on ‘Open’.



The Music files will get added on the iTunes library.

Lol @ iTunes rant. Yay for Zune software *Smile

I'm glad I broke away from the majority and bought a Zune. The software is a million times better, not to mention the UI in both the software and the device is gorgeous compared to the iPods IMO.

If you want your music and smartphone in one device, iPhones are attractive, though. But I prefer a Windows Mobile phone with WiFi (no data plan for me) and my Zune 120GB.
