Windows 10: A question regarding pc froze when entering password

Hi, i have a question, my pc was working perfectly fine no issues, i have turned my pc on and off many times during its purchase and not once has this occurred. I would like to know what caused it, i was one day turning my pc on i entered my password which is a pin and the pc just did nothing and it was stuck on the login screen where it says welcome and the spinning circle was not moving, all i could see was the picture of my lock screen and the welcome text and spinning circle motionless. I removed all usb devices including mouse and keyboard and nothing happened, cltr, alt, del, did nothing, after this i forced the pc off using the power button and turned it back on and all was well. I had no error message nothing in reliability monitor, so my question is what can cause it? And why did it happen? I don't recall installing any updates at the time either?

  Open settings
  
• 
  Click on Users and account
  
• 
  Open Sign-in options and tap the
  Change button under Password.
  
• 
  Enter the current password and click Next.
  
• 
  There you can remove the pin password

Hi,

To remove your login screen on Windows 10, kindly follow these steps:

• On the search box, type netplwiz and press Enter.
• A new window labeled as User Accounts will appear, listing all user accounts. Click on your user account and uncheck Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.
• Enter your account password and click OK.
• Reboot your PC and check if your new settings has been saved.
