Hello, I have a problem installing Windows 10.While installing the system, I get the error:"A required CD/DVD driver device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now."The system image was downloaded from the official Microsoft website and the creation of the USB drive was performed with the Balena Etcher program.The problem started when I tried to install Windows 7 in Legacy Mode in Dual Boot configuration. cd/dvd device driver is missing

Hi,

To fix the issue regarding error "cd/dvd device driver is missing", check the following steps:

• If Windows is asking for driver, jusk click on Cancel. It will bring you back to the Welcome screen.
  
• From there, insert it back to different USB port.
• Click on Install Now again. The installation process will go through as usual.

This happened to all updated Windows Installer. This might due to failure of windows detecting the USB drive.

When re-inserting the USB drive. Windows Installer will detect the USB drive back, and continue as usual.

Windows 10 AU - DVD / CD driver missing

Hello.

My computer doesn't recognize DVD drive so I can't use DVD/CD.

The driver is missing in Device manager - even if I show hidden drivers so I can't reinstall or update the driver. There is just an Optiacr (SONY) driver in disks category (no update available) but not DVD/CD category. I also tried the troubleshooter and
everything that is suggested by Microsoft. Nothing helped.

Before I updated to AU I had to reset factory settings because update failed - I don't know if it can have something with it.

I'm using Acer Aspire 7551G notebook. Someone wrote that it's not compatible with W10 AU but the compatibility test was done successfully.
