  1. A router/access point channel conflict has been detected

I can not print from my PC computer to my air printer. I get the following error “ A router/access point channel conflict has been detected. If you have problems printing or scanning improve your wireless network environment “. My router/modem is in the same room as printer. Printer is on wifi and I can print wirelessly from IPad and IPhone, just not from PC. Computer is in wifi and can connect to internet. How do I fix conflict of router/ access point?

    :)

  2. router access point conflict with epson ET4550

I am trying to scan from my computer a document on my multifunction printer. The error message I receive is: Cannot communicate with scanner when I use the epson scanner software. This is what I get when I follow the instructions.

When I print off the check network connection from my printer the following message is included:

A router access point channel conflict has been detected. If you have problems printing or scanning improve your wireless connection environment,

I am confused that I can see my computer from the printer and send a scan from the printer to the computer. I am trying to do it the traditional way.

    access point from company router

    Hello,

I wish to run an ethernet line from our router (which has an extra IP address i have been using on my MAC G3 notebook) to an access point on the 5th level of our building. The router is on the second level. Is it possible for my MAC to detect the access point and configure it using the IP address I usually use? My colleagues and I want to receive the wireless signal from the access point between levels 2- 5 (max distance 4om) but we are not sure how to configure the access point. Hopefully when we plug it into the (non-wireless router) via ethernet , my MAC will be able to detect it and then we can configure it..????

We intend to buy an apple AirPort Extreme base station wireless access point- it will run off the non wireless: ezxs16w linksys router.

Cheers in advance for any help- we don't really have a clue about basic networking...

A router/access point channel conflict has been detected

Cannot access devices connected to primary router from access point

The access point setting would not disable dhcp and other settings. It just telling the router to set it's wireless module in a mode which can accept wireless connections from clients.<br>
I also took a look of the manual for Netgear DGN2200 and I couldn't see the suggestion for LAN to WAN connection, so I think you got that a little bit wrong.<br>
By connecting the WAN port for your access point router in the LAN of your primary router, you effectively put all the devices connected on the access point router in other network, behind nat from the primary router perspective point of view.<br>
Here's how your setup should look:<br>
Connect both router through their LAN ports and do not use WAN port. Go to the router which you want to use just for access point. Disable it's dhcp server. Make sure that this router have IP address assigned from the LAN network of your primary router. For that open the configuration of your primary router and goto Lan IP setup, there you should see something like:<br>
    Lan ip address: 192.168.0.1

    IP subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

    dhcp Starting IP Address: 192.168.0.2

    dhcp Ending IP Address: 192.168.0.254

Change the starting ip address to 192.168.0.3 and set to access point router the ip: 192.168.0.2.<br>
Then if you want to use single name for your wifi you should set it identical in both routers, among all other settings like security and etc. The only setting you should make sure is different is the channel.<br>
The channels on the routers must be selected in such way that they do not overlap, see this diagram.<br>
As you can see if you use channel 1 on the first router, on the access point router it should be at least channel 6. You should take to consideration the channels on which neighbor networks are broadcasting and try to avoid them if possible. For that task can help you tool like Vistumber.<br>
    I hope that helps.
